Peter Thompson
I live in Bridlington, I was born here, and will probably die here. I write in three main genre, those being, Thriller, Science Fiction and Fantasy.

Lodge Books has published a number of my novels and at the moment I am concentrating on Tom Ranswick thrillers.

I began to write when I was 27 years old having had no inclination to do so before. I had just been made redundant and needed something to fill my time, having little or no money for costly distractions. I saw a program on TV showing how to write a story and from that moment I was bitten and wrote one and a half novels.

When I got married soon after, writing took a back seat until 1990 when I was cleaning out my study and came across that first book. It will never see the light of day but the bug bit again and I have not stopped writing since.

I now have twenty one full length novels written, all awaiting publication. Some in series and the odd one, a standalone novel.

I hope you enjoy my books.

Marcus Cobb was found to have a mind that could fight the Lowi menace, his mind being so strong that he wouldn’t succumb to their mind control. He was to join a task force for the united nations of sentient beings, a force dedicated to fighting this Lowi invader, and so his life would change beyond recognition, so much so that he could never return to earth.

Described as igniters, a small proportion of earth people overheat and burn up, leaving just a small pile of grey ash. Jonathan Peel is one such man.

Snatched from the jaws of death a second before oblivion, he awakes to find that he is not on earth, nor dead, but on a planetoid where he is still alive, in perfect health and now a young man. For this gift he has to agree to help a mysterious stranger called Myfous. Jonathan has a choice: accept what Myfous offers and perhaps die, or go back to a certain death.

He will be one of three beings from different worlds to form an assault group, their basic DNA altered to fight a growing menace that is destroying planets and galaxies; this is a vicious weed that eats and destroys every life form it comes up against.

The fight back has begun to save the Milky Way galaxy and retake those that have been lost to the weeds and the control of a mad, sentient computer

A young man called Adam Flint arrives in America after receiving a letter from a great aunt, leaving him a ranch house and lands after her death.

Adam had taken these steps after the loss of his wife to a hit and run driver and his subsequent lapse into a drunken frenzy rather than face the loss and hurt of his wife's death.

His worries are about to reach a pace where he wishes at times that he could still reach for the demon drink. He finds that the lands belong to the Indian nation and not him and that a water company wants to build a reservoir in a far valley. They are determined to get their hands on this land by fair means of foul. The land won't be sold to them because the ancient Indian burial ground would be under water and a document signed by Abraham Lincoln would prevent that in the courts if it can be found. Without the document, the courts will hand the land to the water company and thugs hired by them intend that it will not be found.

Tom Ranswick is set up for the murder of his wife by a Middle East terror organisation called 'The Group'. That event is closely followed by the destruction of British Intelligence HQ by two car bombs driven into its basement garage, and a Russian Intelligence base by one of their own nuclear suitcase bombs. The C.I.A. is next to be attacked but is already on alert and the car bombers are kept at bay.

Tom is sent to Russia to back up a Russian agent trying to infiltrate a coup plot led by one of their Generals. Tom's friend, Jake Brown discovers The Group's connection to an ocean going yacht tied up in Portsmouth Harbour and plans for it to join a yacht race already in progress and due to finish in New York Harbour, next to the Statue of Liberty.

Meanwhile, Tom Ranswick finds that something far more deadly, using the final two suitcase bombs, is planned for America and he hasn't much time to thwart The Group before America is dealt a blow that they will take years to recover from.

The Second World War should have been dead and buried, but trouble always comes from those allowed to escape. The Waffen SS is alive and kicking, having remained underground for decades, hidden by sympathisers in South America. A new breed of soldier begins to make itself felt, assassinations become every day occurrences in certain parts of the world, then strange things begin to happen, yet the main powers still slumber in the sure knowledge that they are supreme. Realisation comes too late for some, but not for one or two men who will not easily be deterred.
